On Saturday 17th May 2025, we invite you to take part in the Frankie and Neeve Remembrance Walk, a meaningful fundraising event dedicated to the memory of Frankie and Neeve. This year’s walk will take place around the stunning surroundings of Dovestones Reservoir and Saddleworth, following a 13-mile route that symbolically reflects the date 13th May 2023—the day Frankie and Neeve tragically lost their lives.
This is a family-focused event, and everyone is welcome. Whether you’re walking the full 13 miles or just joining for a section, your support means the world to us.

The route is designed with plenty of stops for refreshments, rest, and reflection—including stops at The Whitehart Inn, Albion Farm Shop & Café, and The Swan Inn, before returning via Uppermill to Dovestones and the memorial tree.
You can walk as much or as little as you like—just being part of the day is what matters most.
Why 13 Miles?
The walk covers 13 miles to represent the 13th of May, the date that changed so many lives. Each step is a tribute to Frankie and Neeve, a reminder of why road safety awareness matters, and a way to carry their memory forward in a positive, loving way.

1st Leg – Dovestones Car Park, OL3 7NN to Whitehart Inn, 51 Stockport Road, Lydgate, OL4 4JJ.

Starting from the tree, walk south towards Holmfirth Road / A635 (0.3 miles). Take a slight left onto Holmfirth Road / A635 (0.9 miles). Turn right onto Park Lane (300 feet). Turn left onto St Mary’s Drive (0.2 miles). At the Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Chew Valley Road / A669 (0.6 miles). Continue onto Shaw Hall Bank Road / B6175 (0.1 miles). Turn right towards Oaklands Road (500 feet). Sharp right onto Oaklands Road (150 feet). Sharp left onto Oldham Road / A669 (0.8 miles). Slight right onto Oldham Road / A669 (0.8 miles). Turn left onto Stockport Road / A6050 (0.2 miles). Arrive at Whiteheart Inn.
2nd Leg – Whitehart Inn, 51 Stockport Road, Lydgate OL4 4JJ, to Albion Farm Shop and Café, Oldham Road, Delph, OL3 5RQ.

Walk north west on Stockport Road / A6050 towards Quickedge Road (0.2 miles). Turn left onto Oldham Road / A669 (0.7 miles). Turn right onto Cooper Street (0.3 miles). Turn left (maybe a restricted usage road 150 feet).
Walk north – east towards Cooper Street (150 feet). Turn Left onto Cooper Street (0.4 miles). Continue onto Lower Turf Lane (0.2 miles). Turn right onto Huddersfield Road /A62 and continue to follow A62 (1.3 miles). Turn left and arrive at Albion Farm Shop and Café.
3rd Leg – Albion Farm Shop and Café, Oldham Road, Delph, OL3 5RQ to The Swann Inn – 1 The Square dobcross Oldham OL3 5AA

Walk south towards Oldham Road / A62 (50 feet). Turn left onto Oldham Road / A62 (0.3 miles). Turn right onto Knarr Lane (0.2 miles). Knarr Lane turns right and becomes Shutt Lane (0.2 miles). Turn left onto Wall Hill Road (0.1 miles). Continue onto Dobcross New Road / A6052). At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Woods Lane (50 feet). Exit roundabout onto Woods Lane and arrive at Saddler Gentleman Co. Woods Lane, Dobcross.
4th Leg – The Swann Inn – 1 The Square dobcross Oldham OL3 5AA to Saddleworth Museum, & Gallery, High Street, Uppermill, OL3 6HJ.

Walk North – east on Woods Lane towards Chancery Lane (150 feet). Turn right (50 feet). Turn right (0.1 miles). Turn left onto Dobcross New Road / A6052 (0.2 miles). At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto High Street /A670 (0.6 miles). Exit the roundabout onto High Street / A670 (0.6 miles). Turn right onto Mill Street and arrive at Saddleworth Museum.
5th Leg – Saddleworth Museum, & Gallery, High Street, Uppermill, OL3 6HJ to Dovestones Frankie and Neeve’s Memorial Tree
