Frankie & Neeve

About Us

Support us in our mission to make roads safer for everyone, one student at a time.

Welcome to Frankie & Neeve’s Road Safety Academy, a beacon of hope in the pursuit of creating safer roads for everyone. Our journey began from tragedy, but our mission is to turn that tragedy into triumph through education and advocacy.

Our Story

Frankie & Neeve's Road Safety Academy is a charitable organisation founded by Calvin Buckley, in collaboration with Frank Hough, in loving memory of Frankie Julia Hough and Neeve.

Frankie was an actress who appeared in Hollyoaks. Her life was tragically cut short in a road collision on May 13th, 2023.  The collision, caused by reckless driving, not only claimed Frankie’s life but also led to the loss of her unborn child, Neeve, and left her sons, Tommy and Rocky and her nephew Tobias with life-altering injuries.

Calvin, Frankie’s partner and Frank, Frankie’s father, have experience the grief, loss and the human cost of the collision, igniting a passion for change within them. Fuelled by this and a determination to prevent similar tragedies, Calvin, alongside Frank, embarked on a journey to revolutionise road safety education in a bid to stop this happening to others.

What We Do

The core purpose of Frankie & Neeve's Road Safety Academy is to revolutionise road safety education for children and young adults.

We utilise cutting-edge technology, particularly Virtual Reality (VR), to immerse students in realistic scenarios that highlight the consequences of dangerous driving.

We are using characters created by Tommy and Tobias and his class, to empower children and young adults to challenge poor driving by adults when they are in the vehicle.  We want children to be informed as early as possible on safe driving to create good habits from a young age, but also to have the confidence need to call out unsafe driving by grown-ups!

Through regional school sessions and after-school club programs, we engage students of all ages, from early years to young adults, in interactive learning experiences. By instilling a deep understanding of responsible road behaviours and promoting respect for all road users, we aim to shape future drivers who prioritise safety above all else.

Our Vision

We envision a future where road safety is not just a priority but a way of life.

By empowering today’s youth with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions on the road, we believe we can create a world where tragedies like Frankie’s are preventable.
