Calvin was also supported very early after the collision by Road Peace, another road safety charity. Calvin was brought together with other families who had suffered as a result of road death and a powerful BBC piece was put together about road justice under Road Peace’s campaign #FixOurJusticeSystem. Calvin is still supporting this charity at local events such as the Heaton Park Road Walk as part of the 2023 #RoadPeaceChallenge #1766MileTogether for every road death in 2022. Our Chairs Frank and Calvin have also been asked to attend various events with Brake – Road Safety Charity, the RAC and Younger Drivers Conferences, to share their journey in the hope that other professionals supporting road crash victims can learn and share knowledge to ensure bets practice in the future, how to effect change and campaign for victim rights but also how to engage and influence young drivers on the road.
Here at Frankie and Neeve’s RSA, we are happy to support all things related to road safety and keeping ourselves safer on the road or justice for families following road crashes. Our Chair Calvin has been requested to appear many times on the media on behalf of Vision Zero – which is a simple but large in its aim to reduce road death to 0 by 2040. Calvin has appeared on local media and in promotional clips for the organisation speaking passionately about his desire to end road death through our charity and the education of future generations. Calvin says “I do not think you can ever end all crime, but what you can do is to try and education people and create a society with more morals and respect and responsibility. You can reduce it by cultural change.” Hollyoaks star’s partner ‘destroyed’ after car crash killed actress and unborn baby – Mirror Online
Whilst we are able to share our experience of the past, we are with this charity looking forwards. We have so much planned for our future, but most recently Calvin has been working with GMP at Safer Road Greater Manchester to focus on road safety and trying to reduce the use of mobile phones when driving with a hard hitting new campaign: “Touch.Screen”.
